Checked in at Euro Hostel Glasgow to freshen up a bit and change into my kilt. This time again, there was a little present waiting for me in my room: Irn-Bru to battle the hangovers, and some funny kilt socks. Not to be worn with a kilt. 🙂
I even signed a petition to save the tradition of the traffic cone on the Wellington statue, so I HAD to pay him a visit again.
If you think ahead, you can save quite a bit of money: my Glasgow Subway smartcard arrived at my hostel before I did, so I can start using it straight away now. I especially like the automatically applied ‘daily cap’ of £2.70, which is already cheaper than two single rides, and certainly cheaper than the £4 paper day ticket!
