When an e-mail with a special offer for a two person trip to the Netherlands arrived in our mailbox, we couldn’t let this opportunity slide. So just before the Christmas craziness and exam stress, we’re on our way to Haarlem. Even though the train only started its voyage in Brussels-Midi, it managed to depart in Brussels-Central with a fifteen minute delay…
We didn’t quite expect this kind of weather when we started planning our trip to Berlin. We better pack light then, and hope the air conditioning on our trains is working…
Saturday was the day of the Lochearnhead Highland Games, including the Clan MacLaren AGM, Stone of Strength, Tug o’War and lots of other (heavy) events. In the evening we celebrated Donald MacLaren of MacLaren’s fiftieth year as our chief with a supper and ceilidh in the Balquhidder Village Hall.
