New Retro Game Cafe to open in Glasgow

MEGAbytes brings retro games to Glasgow

MEGAbytes are currently pulling up old carpet, painting the walls and then giving up and playing some good ole Street Fighter when the going gets tough.

Soon to be moving into their premises on 169 Howard Street (near to Slaters) MEGAbytes will be a haven for nerdy gamers – and nerdy gamers who like a cuppa, some grub and a place to chill.

Glasgow City Chambers

scotianostra:

Interior of Glasgow City Chambers

The chambers took seven years to build and engaged the skills of craftsmen from as far afield as Italy and France. This extravagance is clearly manifest inside where the marble staircase and the sumptuous Banqueting Halls with their ornate plasterwork, alabaster and mahogany fittings and superb Glasgow Boys artworks. It was my first visit today and would recommend it to anyone, you can the cost almost quadrupled from £150,000 to £578,232.

I might join the tour again next visit, since h–na hasn’t seen the Glasgow City Chambers interior yet…
