Arrived in Berlin on schedule. First order of business — after checking into our hotel — a bus tour, to get a feel for the layout of the city.

Change of trains in Köln, so time to get some coffee to go, and something that can serve as breakfast: donuts.
We’re on our way! Apparently the 6h25 to Köln isn’t very popular, since we’re almost alone in our carriage.
We didn’t quite expect this kind of weather when we started planning our trip to Berlin. We better pack light then, and hope the air conditioning on our trains is working…
After a short stop in Liège, we arrived home safely, happy to see a proper bed. Hiking 40 km with full gear, but without any training, it was quite an experience!
